Welcome to San Carlos
Top-notch quality of life in the heart of San Mateo County.
San Carlos' nickname is "The City of Good Living," and it's a name that fits the city well. Every detail of San Carlos was crafted with a high quality of life in mind. From its charming neighborhoods to its ample parks and green spaces, this place feels easy to call home. Located south of Belmont and across the Bay from Fremont, San Carlos has just over 30,000 residents. The city stretches from the Bay in the east back to Pulgas Ridge Open Space Preserve and the Junipero Serra Freeway. Its central location makes it a convenient town for commuters. While at home in San Carlos, residents enjoy a walkable, family-friendly community with a great downtown and an excellent restaurant scene.
Homes in San Carlos sit within pretty neighborhoods that extend into the surrounding hills, with many offering stunning views of the Bay waters. Homes in the center of town tend to be modestly sized in established neighborhoods, with great floorplans and generous yards. Homes in the hills are generally newer and more luxurious, with premium features such as underfloor heating, chef's kitchens, and floor-to-ceiling windows to capture the views of the Bay beyond.
